2026 VOLUNTEER HOUR Program & Commitment

Corunna Giants / Lady Giants will be running the volunteer hours program again this season and is a term and condition of your childs registration.


The cost is the same as last year, a $200.00 post dated October 1, 2026 refundable cheque or e-transfer
can be made any time after you have registered your player. Cheques payable to CORUNNA MINOR ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION
This will be returned after October 1
Completion = completed your 4 hours of service (6 for 2 or more players from 1 family) by filling out the Sign Up Genius form for the opportunity you are volunteering for- NO EXCEPTIONS.

NOTE: If you were registered last season and did not provide us with a $200.00 deposit, or did not complete  your volunteer hours you will be contacted after registration to clear it up or your child will be unable to register for 2026.

DEADLINE The deadline for cheques/deposits to be made will be on our uniform pick-up day (yet to be
determined). If you have not submitted your volunteer funds, you will not be supplied with a
uniform for your player, meaning that they will not be able to play until we have collected your
volunteer deposit.

You will sign up through Sign Up Genius including all coaches (4 per team ONLY). Links will be found and updated on Facebook & the Volunteer Opportunities page on our website. Opportunities will be available from November 2025 to October 2026

Volunteer opportunities include but not limited to: also parents, players, family members can register for volunteer hours.  MUST SIGN UP ON CORRESPONDING SIGN UP GENIUS.

·       Coaching & Team staff (up to 4 total including Head Coach) and must be registered as a coach (training, sign up & Vulnerable sector checks) must be completed by July 1 to be confirmed.

Note Game changer, scorekeeping, helping out at games/practices and pitch counts are considered team responsibilities and will NOT be recognized as volunteer hours.

·       Executive Board Members- we are currently looking for a few new members (Tball & In House Rookie Directors, Fundraising & Sponsorship Lead)

·       Mid Season & Year End Tournaments

o   Admin

o   BBQ & Concession stands

o   Runners

o   Diamond maintenance & more

·       Fundraising Events

o   Captain Kidd servers, parking and kid zone

o   Wednesday Night Meat Raffles at Two Water

o   Darren Turner Memorial Tournament 

By completing this form, you are registering with both Corunna Minor Athletic Association (CMAA) and Baseball Ontario. 

Baseball Ontario appoints CMAA to collect fees on its behalf, included in the registration fee collected through this process. No additional monies is charged to the parent registering locally. Baseball Ontario invoices CMAA for fees collected.

On behalf of myself and the player being registered, I recognize that baseball entails serious risks. Consequently, except as noted below, I and the player being registered relinquish all rights to a claim of any kind, including the right to a claim for bodily and material damages, regardless of the cause, against Baseball Ontario, its member associations, including Corunna Minor Athletic Association (CMAA) and their respective officers, employees, coaches, umpires, assignees, agents, representatives, and sponsors, even if such damages result from negligence of Baseball Ontario, its member associations, including CMAA and their respective officers, employees, coaches, umpires, assignees, agents, representatives, and sponsors.

Without restricting the generality of the preceding, I and the player being registered also relinquish the right to any claim against Baseball Ontario, its member associations, including CMAA and their respective officers, employees, coaches, umpires, assignees, agents, representatives, and sponsors resulting from a decision on their part, regardless of the nature of this decision.

This release of Baseball Ontario, CMAA and the other persons noted above does not preclude myself or the player being registered from making a claim under any sports accident coverage provided by Baseball Ontario and/or CMAA to their players.  An overview of the current sports accident coverage provided by Baseball Ontario can be found by clicking HERE!.

Refund Policy:

Refunds:
If your child requires a refund prior to February 1 you will receive a full (100%)  refund minus a $5.00 processing fee

If your child requires a refund after uniforms are ordered on February 2 to May 13 you will receive 30% of the registration fee minus  a $5.00 processing fee.

After May 13th, refunds will be discussed on an individual basis.

Refunds must be accompanied by a Request for Refund Form (found on the website), a $5.00 processing fee will be charged and all refunds will be made through Sportspay.

Photo Consent:

I authorize Corunna Minor Baseball Association (CMAA)  and/or its staff, associates, assistants, or subcontractors to use photograph(s), video and other media image provided for any CMAA  promotional, educational or other pertinent uses. I also agree to CMAA  using any images of the named minor(s) gathered by photographers, and or videographers supplying images to CMAA .

These images may include, but are not exclusive to, club, coach, athlete and/or parent, and/or volunteer submissions by various member associations of CMAA

I authorize CMAA  to permit the use and display of photographs and/or recordings of the named minors in any CMAA  publication, multimedia production, including video and web usage, display, or advertisement.

I agree that CMAA may use name, likeness, or information supplied by the undersigned.

The undersigned releases and forever discharges CMAA and its officers and employees from any and all claims and demands arising out of or in connection with the use of said photographs / recordings, including but not limited to, any claims for invasion of privacy or defamation.

Rowan’s Law:

Under Rowan's Law, before any player can be registered with the local association and Baseball Ontario, the player, and the parent or legal guardian of the player if the player is under 18 years of age, must review one of the Concussion Education Resources provided by the Province of Ontario and must review the Player Code of Conduct. I hereby confirm that the player being registered to participate in baseball activities with the local association and Baseball Ontario, and the parent or legal guardian of the player being registered if the player is under 18 years of age, have reviewed one of the concussion education resources provided by the Province of Ontario as referenced above and have reviewed the player code of conduct as referenced above. I / we further acknowledge understanding the nature and risk of concussion and head injury to athletes, including the risks of continuing to play after a concussion or head injury is suspected.
